There are three categories of materials available: natural, synthetic and natural / synthetic blend. Anyone can be a problem, an allergy.
Natural Substances
Simply because a substance is "natural" does not necessarily mean that it is "safe" for people with skin allergies. Wool is an example of a natural material, can cause intense irritation of some people. The reason seems to be the irritant effect of the wool. Many of us, whether weHave allergies or not, with the feeling that you're wearing an itchy woolen often directly on the skin, an effect likely to get worse in people who already know eczema or dermatitis.
It is a common misconception that the lanolin in the wool produces the itching, but it is likely because of allergy to lanolin rare in the general population. It is also not particularly high in people who have skin allergies – some studies suggest that only about 1Percent of people with dermatitis are sensitive to lanolin allergens. This number will decline even further made by the very fine, high-grade lanolin that is used in many skin-care products and preparations for people with dry skin conditions. Therefore, even if you with real wool lanolin sensitivity by allergens, skin care products can suffer with high lanolin be used safely. Ask your pharmacist for advice on suitable products.
Natural substances which are not normallyassociated with allergic reactions and should therefore no problems are cotton, silk and leather. Most people suffer with eczema find that cotton clothing and linen are much more comfortable than those made from wool or synthetic fibers. This is probably because less cotton caused sweating and skin irritation. There are specialist suppliers of raw, untreated cotton clothing and bedding.
Synthetic and natural / synthetic blends
One of themost of the synthetic material is polyester, which is found as a component of some plastics and adhesives. Some clothes are only beds are made of polyester, polyester fibers, but can also be combined with cotton to what is known as polycotton. This material is often used for clothing, bedding, rugs, and as a filling in blankets and quilts.
Individuals can different greatly in their tolerance of plastics and natural / synthetic blends. Some peoplewere note for example that the type of dye is used in polyester fibers irritate the skin, while polycotton and cotton products labeled "easy care", "wrinkle" or "non-iron have been" treated with formaldehyde, a chemical that may cause skin irritation in some individuals.
Claddings and fasteners
Even if you have done your homework and have managed to avoid buying any clothes or bed linen fabrics for which you are responding to something as simple as a rough seamor edge on a piece of clothing could be enough to irritate eczema the skin of a patient and develop a response. It could also exposed metal snaps, buttons, zippers, or on the clothing and bedding as the trigger. Popper fasteners are popular for baby clothes, but these should be attached to the garment in a way that they do not come into contact with the skin of the child.
